What’s Your Theme?

June 27, 2014 By: eilacomment

022A few weeks ago, I was on vacation with my family in Lake Harmony, PA. We wanted to find somewhere to eat breakfast. It should have been a simple task. However, we spent time driving around the Poconos for 20 minutes or more. Finally in the midst of hearing everyone’s stomach growl, we settled on a cute little restaurant called, “Terra Cottage…So, close to home.” It was a house converted into a restaurant.

In my travels, I’ve eaten in some unique places but Terra Cottage was in a class of its own. What struck me was the beautifully decorated porch. It had small glass tables with arm chairs covered with elaborate fancy fabric. It was a perfect set up for a tea party. And, it got more interesting inside of the restaurant…..

Each section and room of the Terra Cottage had a special “theme.” When I walked in, I saw an old-time diner theme. Then, I walked into a 50’s era theme. And, my favorite was the “inside of a doll house” theme. Although I couldn’t stop taking pictures of the doll house and wanted to stay there, we were seated in the “Man Cave” theme room. I must admit the “man cave” section was a great place because the walls were covered with really cool quotes and sayings…and you know I love inspiration….it’s definitely my theme 🙂 One of the sayings on the wall stood out to me and I want to share it with you….

“I believe in Pink. I believe laughing is the best calories burner. I believe in kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day. I believe in miracles.

Pretty cool, right? I thought you would like it. So in your travels, make sure you venture out to different restaurants to eat. Go someplace distinct and uncommon in your own hometown. You’ll come across some great discoveries. Let me know some of the unusual places you went to eat. I would love to hear what’s out there! Take care until next time.

Hugs,
