Gratitude Challenge – Time To Pamper Myself

November 9, 2014 By: eilacomment

pampering photo        Today I am thankful for pampering. Life can get stressful and there are times a good pampering is needed. Pampering could mean a lot of things. For some it could mean a trip to the spa for a full day of facials, massages, manicures, and pedicures. For others it could mean only one of these services. Still for others, it could just mean a day of rest where they are not to bothered by the daily grind or the normal stresses of life. Pampering can even mean that you let someone else do the cooking for the day.

Whatever you have in mind as pampering, it’s always Important to fit this in your busy schedule if you can. Life can get overwhelming and stress is one of the worst things to allow to get the best of you. Nothing compares to the feeling of “being taken care of” when things get so hectic. From personal experience, I can tell you that getting a leg and foot massage sure helps me “escape” from life – even if its for half an hour. Physically, not only does it feel good, but pampering also does wonders for your confidence and self esteem. You know how the old adage goes: “If you look good, you feel good.” I certainly feel like a million bucks when I come out of a nail salon because I know my toes and fingers are looking very pretty. When my session at a spa is coming close to an end, I don’t want it to end…my body is so relaxed, I almost feel like jelly!

Now this is not to say that I go to these place with great frequency, I go once  in awhile….maybe once a year, if that? I have tried the Estée Lauder spa as well as Elizabeth Arden’s Red Door. Both are great and sure know how to make you feel good! Depending on the package you choose, lunch can even be included. Of course, there’d always an upsell of some sort. As for the mani/pedi, it’s whenever the mood strikes me and the schedule allows. If I don’t get a chance to go, I at least try my hardest to go the salon for a mani/pedi. The temporary escape feels like I am on vacation.

What are some cool spas you’ve been to? What are some other ways you know how to pamper yourself? Would love to hear all about it!

XOXOXOXO,
